The fundraising efforts of last winter were a success.  We are in need of
funds again, however, and will be starting a new series of fundraising efforts this Fall and Winter.
Thanks to everyone who helped us last winter! 

Our November 2001 show was an all-ages basement show in the Shorewood
suburb on November 9th at 2114 E. Wood Pl. 
$4 donation or $2 with a warm clothes donation.  Any additional financial donation or donation of  winter clothes encouraged (coats, pants, socks, etc).

on the corner of Center and Fratney in Riverwest.  This was a 21 and over
event.  $4 donation.  It was a financial success!

Are you interested in talking to a volunteer, making a donation, helping to clean and organize the space, making flyers, working on gathering information and literature, or contributing to a new library?  If so, come to one of the Tuesday meetings.
Tuesday October 16th through Thursday October 18th 2001 we participated in the Student Peace Action "Camp for Peace" Protest on UWM campus.

PROTEST WAR WITH IRAQ!
Friday November 1st, 2002  4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
4th, Wisconsin, & Wells Streets in Milwaukee
Peace Action, FNB, and other local groups protested the Bush administrations' position on Iraq. FNB met at 2423 North Booth St. at 3 p.m. Friday to begin  cooking for the protest,
and made signs and banners on Thursday Oct. 31st for the same.
Counter the White Supremacist Rally!
Saturday November 23rd the KKK, US Nazi Party, and the World Church of the Creator held a White Supremacist Rally.  FNB, Peace Action, Anti-Racist Action, and the IWW were among some of the groups standing in protest.  The event took place at the Federal Courthouse (517 E. Wisconsin Ave.) from 1-3 p.m.

Beehive Collective!
Friday November 29th (8 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church) Milwaukee was visited by some of the bees from the hive.  If you aren't familiar with their work, please check out their website at www.beehivecollective.org.

Fundraising
A new fundraising plan is: we are aiming for a show on feb. 8th (Modern Machines, TBA).  See the Jan. 7th meeting notes at the bottom of the main page for more info.  Also, there is a Spring dinner in the works.  If you have ideas for this event, or any other fundraising event, please contact us.
ALF Spokesperson Robin Webb to speak in Milwaukee February 13th @ 7 p.m. at the UWM Student Union room E240.  See Jan. 21st meeting notes on home page for more info on Mr. Webb.
Anti-War
Demonstrations will be held in NYC, Milwaukee, and other cities across the country Saturday February 15th.  
January 18th some members of Milwaukee FNB participated in the demonstration @ Washington D.C. as well.
